Although they respond to dB/dt, the low frequency response
can be extended down to 0.001 Hz or less. Thus these sensors
can detect very slow changes in magnetic field. Using innovative
electronics and modern techniques, we have developed one
of the most sensitive induction coil sensor with internal
noise of 10-8GHz-1/2. Sensitivity is maintained flat from
0.001 Hz to 1 KHz using a feedback system. The high frequency
response is typically around 1 KHz, but composite system
with frequencies from 0.001 Hz to hundreds of MHz can be
delivered.
There are numerous applications of induction coil sensors-
particularly when the change in field is measured. Most
of the measurements use the field change for detections
and surveillance.
Some of the striking applications include detection of
extreme low frequency variations in e.m. field. Because
of the wide bandwidth, the same sensor can be used for
electromagnetic surveillance over a wide range of frequencies.
Applications include most of the typical used of fluxgate
magnetometers and additionally:
- Magnetiotellurics
- ELF
- VLF
- LF field Mapping
- Geophysical Prospecting
- Environmental Applications
- Cable Location
- Security and Surveillance
