Computer Systems & Software
Computer systems and software are involved in almost every aspect of our activities. These involve hardware development and architecture, multiprocessors, interfaces, digital signal processor integration, real-time operating systems, distributed operating systems, virtual machine technology, Web-centric computation, and Web-based access and control.
Various application software involving simulation, modeling, and signal processing are developed for various tasks. We use several artificial intelligence and expert systems: rule-based, knowledge-based, heuristics, statistics, neural net, and fuzzy logic.
Signal and image processing applications cover feature extraction, signal fusion, target modeling, terrain analysis, and GIS systems.
We are involved in various information technologies advancing the use of Web-centered computation, remote access, and control under almost real-time situations. Some of our information system experience includes:
- Distributed, replicated database systems
- Knowledge based planning
- Knowledge based expert reasoning
- Applied natural - language processing
- Concurrent engineering sytems
- Web-centered computation
- Remote access
- Distributed sensors and systems
- Real-time Web-centered Systems
Our backgrounds in physics, electrical engineering, and computer systems allowed us to develop sophisticated, innovative, and user-friendly simulation of difficult systems and situations. We specialize in sophisticated algorithms and visualization techniques and our strong ability to understand the problem and related environments. We have listed some of our simulation packages below:
- tracking under nuclear disturbed backgrounds (SDIO)
- EM surveillance under battlefield conditions (ARPA)
- communication system (ARPA)
- radio propagation (U.S. Army)
- ionospheric systems (ONR)
- radar performance and tracking (USAF, ONR)
- GPS system (SPAWAR)
- emitter characterization (DARPA)
- autonomous giudance (NavAIR)
- mapping of nuclear debris (U.S. Army)
- various EM codes (Navy, NASA, Army, ARPA)
